Sibell cameras and recorders are covered for three years against defects in material and workmanship. The coverage comes with the product — no registration, membership or subscription is needed to activate it.

Periods run from the original ship date. PTZ cameras carry a shorter term than fixed cameras because the motorized pan, tilt and zoom assembly is a wearing mechanical part. Hard drives are covered directly for the first year; after that, the drive manufacturer’s own remaining coverage applies.
What is covered
A product proven defective in material or workmanship during its warranty period, under normal use and in the conditions the product is specified for.
The remedy is repair of the original product, replacement with the best available comparable product, or a prorated refund of the unused portion of the warranty. Supply conditions mean an identical replacement is not always available; a comparable product offers equal or greater core functionality but can differ in series, model, features or appearance, and may be new or factory refurbished.
What is not covered
- Damage from misuse, negligence, accident, alteration, normal wear or acts of nature
- Improper or inadequate maintenance, and improper installation
- Operation outside the product’s published environmental specifications
- Use of third-party parts or accessories in place of the specified ones
- Products that have been modified or whose identifying marks have been altered
Making a claim
Warranty claims are handled by the authorized reseller the product was purchased from. A return authorization (RMA) is issued before anything ships back, and the number goes on the outer shipping box rather than on the product packaging, which has to be kept intact.
Advance replacement is available for a suspected defective product when the original is returned within ten business days. A unit found not to be defective is returned at the buyer’s expense.
